A Robotic Camera Lets You See What Human Eyes Cannot

Robotic cameras have many uses, both personally and commercially. Government agencies use these to generate revenue from traffic and speed cameras. What this type of camera does is take multiple images of a vehicle that runs a traffic light or goes above the speed limit. Once the data has been gathered, the appropriate fines and tickets can be issued to the party in question.
You will find a robotic camera widely used in broadcast transmissions. This is because a live TV feed requires compact, easy-to-maneuver cameras. Sporting events are one area where this is in use. There are multiple cameras placed within a stadium to capture all the action that is going on the floor. Above angle shots use this camera in order to create a sense of excitement and drama.
Large companies with trade secrets to protect also use robotic cameras. These are positioned in strategic points throughout the building. The camera feed is then sent to a centralized room where a bank of TV monitors allows security personnel to know what is going on. This is extremely useful when there are certain areas that require high-priority clearance. You can now stop any unauthorized person from proceeding further.
A miniature robotic camera is also used by doctors to see inside the human body. This allows them to make an accurate diagnosis based on the pictures and images transmitted by these cameras. There are really places where human beings cannot go and cameras are now letting them do just that.
Ordinary folks with no time on their hands can use a robotic camera. A good example is a child's birthday party. With guests to attend to, food to prepare, and games to play, there is no time to take photographs of people. You can place one of these on a table or mount and it will record whatever images you want it to take. This is a great way for capturing important milestones.
For this camera to work, you need a fiber optic receiver. This device takes a signal in the form of light, usually from a similar cable, and then converts it to an electrical form. The signal is then sent to an electrical receiver, and is then translated back to its original form. Using this, you can send data, audio, or video.
The component that makes a fiber optic receiver work is the photo detector. This transforms light signals to electrical ones. In most modern devices, the photo detector is a semiconductor photodiode. It is a very small device built into the electrical circuitry of the receiver. With this, it forms an integrated package providing the amplification of signals while connecting the power supply.
A fiber optic receiver comes in three different types - positive-intrinsic-negative (PIN) photo diodes, positive-negative (PN) junctions, and avalanche photo diodes (APDs).
Investing in one of these is expensive. Therefore, make sure that the receiver you invest in can accurately regenerate and decode the encoded data stream over the entire range of power levels. Equally important is the capability to take the encoded/decoded signals and transfer them over the entire network bandwidth. This allows for less signal degradation across the network.
